BTS industry simulations are designed to
demonstrate and assess the business leadership required to
successfully run a P&L organization. By business leadership we mean
the capability to set strategic direction, analyze a myriad of
financial, market, people and operational information and make the
variety of critical business decisions required to achieve success
in dynamic, complex marketplaces. The business leadership we measure
is represented by leadership success factors such as strategy
development, market savvy, applied financial acumen, industry
knowledge, data analysis, operational focus, critical thinking and
judgment. In addition, people leadership success factors such as
influence, collaboration/teamwork and talent development can be
observed and evaluated.
DIAGNOSTIC DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND FEEDBACK
BTS simulation-based workshops have a 20
year history of raising awareness, increasing business acumen,
creating strategic alignment and changing behavior. Supplementing
the learning experience with customized diagnostic assessment
components propels the experience to a much deeper individual level
by providing targeted developmental feedback on the level of
effectiveness observed during the simulation. BTS customizes pre-
and post-program assessments, peer and self assessment instruments,
as well as team effectiveness inventories and other tools that
leverage the learning experience.
BTS specializes in providing
observer-based diagnostic assessment and targeted developmental
feedback using internal or external assessors. Our assessor training
excels in developing the skills to observe, categorize and evaluate
the leadership effectiveness demonstrated during the simulation.
Training of internal assessors above the target audience is an added
value component for the assessors who develop a critical set of
behavior observation and feedback skills. This is also valuable to
the participants who have the benefit of being observed and given
feedback by credible line managers who know what success looks like
and can discuss realistic, targeted development opportunities.
