Who we Seek
We currently seek an experienced Flash developer with in-depth knowledge of AS3 and Object Oriented Programming techniques for building our new generation of business simulation and on-line learning platforms. Good familiarity with AS2 is preferred and experience with online learning, simulation and/or game development is a definite plus.
The Flash developer will work closely with other global-based Flash software developers, graphic designers, technical resources, and management internally and externally.
BTSinteractive (or BTSi) is the global online/virtual/mobile (e.g. eLearning, web-based) learning group within BTS, the world leader in simulations and experiential learning. BTSi designs, develops and delivers online/virtual/mobile solutions and scenario-based simulations for clients around the world through its primary design and development centers in Philadelphia, Stockholm and Bilbao. Our solutions benefit clients in areas of strategic alignment, business acumen, leadership and sales.

Responsibilities include
- Design and develop learning technology interfaces, engaging content and interactions, simulations, and learning content templates using
Adobe Flash and related software
- Create, edit, and integrate media assets as needed to support courseware including graphics, audio, and video
- Develop expert knowledge of BTSi’s existing library of Flash-based content, components and interfaces, and recommend ways to improve and maintain them
- Continuously push the envelope with new and advanced Flash and related software technology
- Partner with BTS Account Managers and BTSi team members to assess, consult, identify, recommend, and develop online and virtual learning solutions
- Establish strong working relationships with existing clients in a variety of industries
Technical Skills Required
- 3+ years experience developing dynamic, interactive learning applications for Flash 7 player and above
- Experience creating multi-file Flash applications and learning interactions
- In-depth understanding of Flash compression practices and file-structured techniques
- Experience with file size reduction and optimization techniques for low bandwidth delivery
- Experience incorporating audio and video into Flash files
- Experience creating XML driven Flash files
- Experience programming in ActionScript 2.0
- Must have expert knowledge of ActionScript 3.0 and Object Oriented Programming
- Experience with Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR is preferred
- Working knowledge of HTML, XML, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Working knowledge of eLearning standards, including: AICC, and SCORM a plus
Ideal Candidates will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Learning Technology, or related field
- GPA of 3.4 or higher preferred
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in corporate learning with a focus on online/virtual/mobile learning. Simulations and scenario-based simulations experience a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of discovery-based online and virtual learning solutions
- Superior client relationship skills and the ability to work with and meet the needs of a wide variety of clients
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proven teamwork in cross-functional, global teams
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation
- A hunger to learn and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Fluent command of the English language (Spanish, Swedish, or Chinese a plus)
