Who we Seek
The ASP .NET Developer / Database Analyst will be responsible for the leadership and development of an interactive
web environment and the back-end SQL infrastructure. The specialist will work closely with global-based Flash software developers, graphic
designers, and technical resources internally and externally and BTS management. BTSinteractive (or BTSi) is the global online/virtual/mobile
learning group within BTS, the world leader in simulations and experiential learning. BTSi designs, develops and delivers online/virtual/mobile
solutions and scenario-based simulations for clients around the world through its primary design and development centers in Philadelphia,
Stockholm and Bilbao. Our solutions benefit clients in areas of strategic alignment, business acumen, leadership and sales.
BTSinteractive (or BTSi) is the global online/virtual/mobile learning group
within BTS, the world leader in simulations and experiential learning. BTSi designs, develops and
delivers online/virtual/mobile solutions and scenario-based simulations for clients around the world
through its primary design and development centers in Philadelphia, Stockholm and Bilbao. Our solutions

Responsibilities include
- Lead, design, and develop an interactive web environment
- Design and develop front-end and back-end web solutions in a full life cycle environment
- Analyze internal and external requirements and design, develop, implement, streamline, and upgrade new features and functionality
- Assist with the selection, education, and use of web-based data tools such as PHP, .NET, C#, etc.
- Develop and enhance web content management applications
- Implement and maintain current web technology architecture and functionality
- Document and maintain web environment schematics and process flowcharts
- Lead, design, and implement a SQL database foundation
- Define, build, and maintain overall database structure
- Define, build, and maintain database objects and server / reporting scripting
- Implement and maintain current database technology architecture and functionality
- Partner with BTS’ IT organization
- Participate in web / SQL data environment strategic and tactical planning
- Ensure support level agreements (SLA) are met
- Perform ongoing capacity management forecasts and ensure that appropriate performance and reliability monitoring and alerting are in place for all web and SQL solutions
- Consult and assist external customers in resolving technical issues that prevent BTS Interactive products from working reliably
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and recommend cost-effective web infrastructure enhancements
Technical Skills Required
- 5 – 7 years experience in web-based ASP.NET / PHP application development with a SQL back-end. This includes knowledge of user interface design.
- Be well versed in all aspects of web development including the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web applications.
- 5+ years experience with SQL server database administration, design, and scripting / reporting
- Proficient using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008 including ability to code SQL schemas and designing and developing SQL reports (Crystal Reports) and stored procedures
- Experience with Windows Web Server Administration and technologies (e.g. WebSphere, Jboxx, IIS) is a plus.
- Experience with Visual Source Safe (VSS) or similar versioning system is a plus.
- Experience with MySQL a plus
- Experience developing in PHP/LAMP environment a plus
Programming Skills Desired
- Proficient with ASP.NET, C# or VB.NET
- Proficient with HTML, XML, JavaScript, VB Script
- Experience with debugging custom Microsoft Windows services
- Experience with Flash and ActionScript 2/3 is a plus

Ideal Candidates will have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- GPA of 3.4 or higher preferred
- Fluent command of the English language (Spanish, Swedish, or Chinese a plus)
- Solid PC skills with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
